Cordova app showing 404 for a existing URL

Here is my angular controller of a cordova app

angular.module('mobApp.controllers', ['ionic'])
.controller('SignupController', function($scope, $http, $location) {

  ionic.Platform.ready(function(){
  });

        $scope.submitCommonSignUpForm = function(isValid, formData) {
            if (isValid) {
                var d = formData;
                $http.post('http://53.X.X.X/api/v1.0/basicSignup',formData).
                then(function(d){alert(d);
                      $location.path('signup-success');
                }).
                then(function(e){alert("error"+JSON.stringify(e));
                  console.log(JSON.stringify(e));
                });
            }
        };

});

I am getting 404 for http://53.X.X.X/api/v1.0/basicSignup but the fact is it exist. Any idea why ?

Inside platform > android > res > config.xml i have <access origin="*" />
